2003/2004 Second Mailing
June 4, 2004

June 4, 2004

Dear Innovative Law User:

This is the second mailing of the Innovative Law Users Group (ILUG) for 2003/2004. It contains important information concerning the election of 2004/2005 Officers and the Annual Meeting:

These documents (except the ballot) are available from the ILUG website.

The annual meeting will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2004, at the Boston Marriott Copley Place. Sandy Westall and Ted Fons of Innovative Interfaces, Inc. will be attending the meeting. Sandy will give us an update on the company and will also give a presentation on Access Law. Ted Fons will speak about Millennium Statistics. We are fortunate to have four presentations from the user point of view: Mary Jane Kelsey on Z39.50, Mary Strouse on URL checking, Linda Bills on statistics, and Amy Moberly on options in the Web OPAC to improve catalog searching. We will break into discussion groups on various topics in the late afternoon.

Due to a delay in getting the menu options and prices from the hotel, we are late in sending out this mailing. The hotel requires that we give them the number of lunch attendees with the selection of entrée by June 25. I realize that this may be a short turn-around time for some people to have a check issued by their institution. If you are registering for the luncheon but cannot send a check in time for the June 25th deadline, you may e-mail Phyllis Post (ppost [at] law.capital.edu ) and let her know your luncheon preference. Please make sure to send the check to her as soon as possible. Her address is on the registration form.

I hope to see many of you in Boston.

Very truly yours,

Elizabeth L. Moore, ILUG Chair
